The Client
Working across the UK, C. C. Contracting specialises in industrial and commercial construction. The core of its work comprises steel frame buildings, food production & chilled storage facilities, machine foundations, concrete floors, and groundworks.
The Brief
Having outgrown its existing (globally-recognised) project management software, C. C. Contracting turned to us to build a bespoke platform from the ground up.
A key requirement was to incorporate a comprehensive tag-based document management system, capable of handling millions of documents. Essentially, a global repository for all of the business' digital files.
This DMS was to be the foundation of the platform - along with a fully-featured contact/organisation database and enquiry/project system - with additional modules to be built on top of it. It was designed this way to allow for extensibility in the future; with a solid core, adding new functionality becomes much more manageable.
Other key requirements included a multi-layer permissions system, dynamic reporting, in-app notifications, real-time updates, version control, and email integration.
The Solution
We built a custom internal platform that C. C. Contracting uses for all its office-based tasks, with a number of dynamic site-based reporting modules also built in.
Cutting-Edge Document Management System
A powerful tag-based DMS with automated version control, multi-layer permissions, platform-wide templating, and advanced search capabilities.
Built-in document tracking features, in-app notifications, and automated file format conversion make this an incredibly versatile suite of tools.
Integrated Email Client
A fully-featured email client that integrates with the Document Management System for a seamless end-to-end experience.
Users link their existing corporate email accounts via secure OAuth 2.0 authentication.
Straightforward Project Management
All project info and actions on one dashboard. No complicated menus, just a consistent, easy-to-use interface.

Real-Time Programme Board
A real-time, synchronised programme board that shows which site each employee is on on a given day. Support for half-day assignments, multi-assignment editing, holidays, etc.
At any given time, selected subcontractors can be displayed on the board to visualise their movements. They can be shown/hidden based on current activity across projects. Assignment data is retained regardless of display status.
The Results
The platform the Interflow team delivered met all the requirements and exceeded expectations. It's used on a daily basis and has scaled well over time.
Huge gains have been made in productivity, consistency, and accuracy. Complex and time-consuming processes have been distilled into simple, guided workflows, and document management has seen a vast improvement in efficiency.
We replaced internationally-recognised project management software with a custom solution from Interflow and we haven't looked back.
